Словообразование (CAE) Часть 1

Сегодня мы начинаем серию заданий на словообразование, которые сосуществуют примерному уровню сложности республиканским олимпиадам по английскому языку. Вдохновителем на создание заданий подобного рода стала книга Destination C1&C2, а точнее справочная секция из данного пособия. Задания даются в алфавитном порядке. Ответы, как и всегда в публикациях подобного рода, даны белым шрифтом и для ознакомления с ними пробелы надо выделить. Надеюсь предлагаемые задания окажутся вам полезными.

Упражнение на словообразование (CAE)

1. A package of economic sanctions is to be enacted against the country. [act]
2. Binh would continue with his life wholly unchanged, in a way that suggested its own sense of unalterable destiny. [alter]
3. Dominique’s teacher says that she interacts well with the other children. [act]
4. Drinking a lot of water counteracts the dehydrating effects of hot weather. [act]
5. He looked disapprovingly at the row of empty wine bottles. [approve]
6. Her aggressiveness made it difficult for him to explain his own feelings. [aggressive]
7. Her unhappiness was apparent to everyone. [appear]
8. Hyperactive children often have poor concentration and require very little sleep. [act]
9. I think she coped admirably with a very difficult situation. [admire]
10. I’m very appreciative of all the support you’ve given me. [appreciate]
11. Private cars are banned from the city on alternate days. [alter]
12. Several police officers are being questioned about the alteration of the documents. [alter]
13. She made a few minor adjustments to the focus of her camera. [adjust]
14. She slapped him and called him names, but he didn’t react. [act]
15. Sometimes he had overacted in his role as Prince. [act]
16. The inadequacy of the budget is likely to cause problems. [adequate]
17. The patient recognized one of the women as the apparition she had seen. [appear]
18. The resort is easily accessible by road, rail and air. [access]
19. The sale was transacted in conditions of the greatest secrecy. [act]
20. The survivors in this life seem to be those who are adaptable to change. [adapt]
21. There has been an appreciable drop in the number of unemployed since the new government came to power. [appreciate]
22. This margarine is full of additives — just look at the label! [add]
